Weight Gain :(

Even though I have been feeling a LOT of restriction in my band, somehow, overnight I have put on 2kg.

I KNOW I probably shouldn't weigh myself everyday....but I am now the weight I was at surgery. That depresses me end. Even though I have only lost 2 kg since surgery, at least that was something. And now I'm back to surgery date?

Its just not worth it. I feel like shit. Crap. I hate my life.

I'm going to go have my wisdom teeth out. Yay.

  1. Hi Liz,

I was banded in Sept and I am the same weight now as I was day of surgery. Had my third fill yesterday and now have 8ml in a 13ml band. So I understand your frustration! I have researched a lot of blogs of other bandits and have found that most did have slow to no weight loss initially - so don't be hard on yourself its still early days! Hugs

  2. Liz I have also heard that initially it can be very slow weight loss at first. Don't beat yourself up about it, you'll get there =)

  3. stick with it Liz,
It took me a whole 6 weeks from surgery to even lose 1 kg. Now 4 months out I have lost 12. It will happen but it does take a little bit of time to get to the green zone.
    Good luck with your teeth.

  4. Keep hanging in there - maybe you should hide your scale for a few weeks - take the focus off the weight and just concentrate on how you are feeling and what you are eating - you never know you may be surprised with the result :)

  5. You are surely a youngster. You have to be patient with WLS. I suggest you go out and find new things that may take your time like having an active school activity or having a small business through online, walk exercise, etc. Explore something that might develop a new hobby. Also, if you really love food, you can look for food ingredients and servings from WLS blogs. Phoenix lap band surgeons told me about these stuffs too when i had my first month of surgery. I think it will work for you too.
